Our curriculum is built on a progression of three proven, evidence-based frameworks - each one building on the last
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
The foundation our six modules were aligned with. From physiological needs and psychological safety through to belonging, self esteem and self-actualisation.
Biopsychosocial Model of Care
Using a whole health approach we apply our experience working with women & girls across the lifespan to connect the body, mind & environment.
Self-Determination Theory
Our curriculum & teaching framework is structured around autonomy, competence and relatedness, so girls become the expert in their own health & wellbeing
We are the leading voice for female health literacy
LLW is grounded in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the biopsychosocial model of care and Self-Determination Theory. Applying a female health lens to the biological, psychological and social patterns our health professionals see every day, our expert educators mapped the program to the Australian Curriculum and designed learning around student agency, confidence and lasting behaviour change.
Girls don’t just receive health information; they learn to understand their own bodies, make informed decisions and build lifelong healthy habits. That’s why 82% of LLW participants report changing their behaviour, not just increasing their knowledge.
Three pillars. One ecosystem.
BODY
Physical health: nutrition & sleep for the female physiology, movement, the menstrual cycle, hormone, gut, skin, bone, pelvic & breast health
MIND
Mental health: stress, psychology, mental load, emotional wellbeing, connection & belonging
SELF
Emotional health: self-worth, body image, self-compassion, values, boundaries & goals
